Our mission in Transaction Risk Management Services (TRMS) is to make Amazon the safest and most trusted place to transact online. TRMS safeguards every financial transaction across all Amazon sites, while striving to ensure that these efforts are transparent to our legitimate customers. As such, TRMS designs and builds the software systems, risk models and operational processes that minimize risk and maximize trust in Amazon.
We are looking for a Business Analyst who relishes diving deep into data and can help solve tough business problems through data analytics to improve detection of misuse of platform and will understand trends of buyer or seller behavior. You will have the exciting opportunity to deliver on strategies and processes to ensure Amazon.in platform is not abused by any buyer, seller or a third party. You will play a key role in influencing product and service launches for different Amazon India sites and apps including Junglee.com or Amazon Now.
Your responsibilities will include testing suspected seller or buyer patterns against historical transaction history, category and brand level data of respective merchants, customer feedback on related accounts etc. You are also responsible for implementing algorithms that flag sellers with high risk scores or prone to give Amazon a bad debt. In addition you will need to identify India specific use cases of buyer abuse, claims reasons, fraud, counterfeit etc.

Responsibilities:
- o Establishing scalable, efficient, automated processes for large scale data analyses, logic ideations, data validation and rule implementations.
- o Perform business analysis using data queried via SQL, SAS, Excel, Access, etc.
- o Develop Metrics and Dashboards using SAS, Perl, Excel and OBIEE (Oracle Business Intelligence) for Amazon’s Product Quality function
- o Provide project planning, execution, risk assessment and system availability
- o Lead in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment by working directly with leadership across business teams
- o Work closely with software engineering teams to drive real-time rule implementation and features
- o Work closely with operations to optimize immediate pattern detection and corresponding risk management
- o Track general business activity to provide clear, compelling metrics reporting on a regular basis
Basic Qualifications
- Knowledge & Skills/ Business Acumen/ Education & Experience
- o Prior experience of business analysis using data mining & analytic tools including SQL, SAS, Access, Excel etc.
- o Analytical mindset and ability to see the big picture and persuade others to see the same
- o Detail-oriented and must have an aptitude for solving unstructured problems.
- o Ability to extract data from various sources and complete analyses to drive solutions to business problems.
- o Success in planning and executing projects
- o Stellar written and verbal communication skills
- o Creative bent of mind
Preferred Qualifications ·
- o Experience in working with databases and data mining techniques in a business environment
- o Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Statistics or Quantitative discipline
