Title : Test Engineer

Purpose of Role :
- You will test our products using a variety of manual testing techniques and also provide input to help improve our automation testing.
- Among your many attributes you have to be a self-starter who is comfortable with a rapidly changing environment and you have a strong desire to learn. You must be proactive towards issues.
Key Responsibilities :
- Test our existing games across multiple ventures
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to deliver the feature you are working on
- Help define our testing process and drive automation
- Test server-side (python) and client-side (Flash/AS3/HTML5) solutions
- Ensure the Studio meets its sprint commitments.
- Work closely with Development and Program Management teams to provide feedback on design (product and technical) and user scenarios.
- Acts as a lead in the creation, preparation, and conduct of quality assurance reviews and the development and execution of test plans and test scripts.
- Creating test cases that functionally verify release data as well as previously existing functionality.
- Works with client to establish and maintain a consistent test methodology and to resolve questions during the testing process.
- Analyzes, tests, and certifies application-specific software and performs ambiguity reviews of business requirements and functional specification documents.
- Analyzes defect patterns and drives test initiatives to resolve these to completion.
- Researches new products and industry methodologies and facilitates the development of new concepts, techniques, and standards.
- Logs, tracks, and verifies resolution of software and specification defects Documents all phases of QA process.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Essential :
- Solid experience testing high-volume applications or Games
- Basic knowledge of SQL
- Be able to pick up additional tasks outside the core specialism to meet team commitments
- Experience of Linux command shell
- Appreciation of probability
- Two years of coding in .Net or Java.
- Preferred to have knowledge in web technologies (JavaScript, CSS, XML, HTML, JSP and Java Servlets).
- A test mentality and methodology with a strong focus on end-to-end scenario testing.
- Excellent problem solving, debugging, design and debugging skills.
- Excellent communications skills both in team, across team and with management and other disciplines.
